| Name: | Mordred Pendragon a.k.a Modredus Ambrosius Arturus |
|---|---|

"And whan sir Mordred felte that he had hys dethys wounde he threste himselff with the myght that he had upp to the burre of kyng Arthurs speare, and ryght so he smote hys fadir, kynge Arthure. . ."
This is, I feel, a slight exaggeration. I did die and I did kill the High King…and it was similar to that account, I must admit. A glorified family squabble? But of course. After all, most sons go through a period of rebellion against their fathers…
The battle itself was a miscalculation though.
Description
He looks to be about nineteen, with his silky-fine black hair either very short or below his shoulders as the mood suits him, pale skin and a pair of piercing yellow-gold eyes. Standing roughly 5’10, Mordred has a slim build and a fine-featured face more pretty then handsome, but his perfectly balanced walk of a trained warrior and the air of command and quiet arrogance suggest that he shouldn’t be underestimated. No matter if they are from the early sith century or the early twenty-first, his clothes are almost always black, leading to his epitaph of "rather monochromatic monarchial illigetimate offspring". Shoes can be absent as the weather warms, though, and he now has a golden hoop earring through his left ear. Beneath his shirt are numerous scars, a tattoo and a heavy gold arm-band on his left arm that allows him to turn at will into either a peregrine falcon or a small, grey-tinged Swift fox. His right hand is also covered in new, red scars – the kind one gets from broken glass.
Mordred’s voice is soft, beautiful, with a British accent that is impossible to place. When he gets angry or upset, this voice can all too easily convey an impression of steel blades on a winter battlefield, of old blood in icy air, of dying alone. This is because he is a ghost, and has been one since the battle of Camlann in 517 AD, where he was slain at his father’s hand.
As far as his personality goes, Mordred is a charming, snarky, short-tempered and arrogant spoiled brat of a prince. Frequently flippant and tactless, he offends as often as he charms, and flirts as easily as he breathes without thinking of the consequences until it’s a little too late. He does have morals, just not very many of them, and has a habit of using people and discarding them as he grows bored.
Mordred is also exceedingly loyal to those people close to him, always truthful and can, when the need arises, be a deadly serious and quite capable warrior-prince. Although quick to anger and quick to blows, he will defend those he sees as ‘his people’ to the death without a moment’s thought, and will stick to what he thinks is right if it kills him.
That it actually did is a source of bitter amusement.
Others from his version of the Arthurian canon are:
garcon_dor and
witchy_rebel. However, his version has been patched together from various legends and details that people throw in as we expand it to include them, so there is no one 'canon', as such.
